No one needs expensive printing presses and reams of paper to publish books, essays, graphics and other media. Increasingly we will be using less and less conventional print media. Devices such as Kindle are making documents portable without paper. Email has become one of the main ways we comunicate in this modern world. We send letters, information, pictures and web links by email. That is basic publishing.
